Khushi
A charming girl with Cerebral Palsy which kept her on a wheelchair donated to her by Jan Madhyam. Her parents made sure she went to the school though. Khushi has a cheerful disposition and never lacked for friends and supporters. Except for her illness in between she came regularly for OT for most of the year. This has worked like magic for Khushi. She can now walk! Independently. She is able to go walking (accompanied by her parent or friends) to school, to the Jan Madhyam Centre for therapy and to her friend’s house. She is in class 8 and will remain a Jan Madhyam scholar for a few more years. No one could be happier than Khushi. She now has a future and dreams of becoming a teacher someday
Nisha Age:15yrs
Nisha is 15 yrs old. She lives in Trilokpuri and has been on Jan Madhyam’s scholarship for 3 years. The focus and attention she received because of the scholarship made her work harder at school. She has just given her 10th board exam – a big achievement. Her family and the TOUCH tuition centerstaff have completed the entire procedure for her disability pension with Jan Madhyams guidance. She proudly shows us her special DTC bus pass for challenged persons. Nisha( who suffers from dwarfism)has plans for her future. Three years ago none of this seemed possible!
